Position Overview: As a member of the the Sanding Department at Gantri, you will play a crucial role in the finishing process for our Table Lights, Wall Lights, and Floor Lights. You will be responsible for using sanding equipment such as orbital sanders to ensure that products meet our high-quality standards and aesthetic requirements. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, motivated, and committed to producing top-quality finished products. Gantri uses 3D printers to manufacture Consumer Lighting products such as table lamps, wall lamps and floor lamps. Our lights are painted various colors in house. Significant sanding is required on the raw materials after printing and primer coatings are applied.
Previous experience in woodworking production or automotive body repair and paint would be great.
P1 - Entry Level with no experience = $20 per hour.
P2 - Standard Level achieved after the first 6 months = $22 per hour.
P3 - Advanced Level achieved after demonstrating advanced sanding skills = $27 per hour.
P4 - Journey Level sander/crafter with quality, speed of craft and leadership skills = $32 per hour.
*Due to the advanced nature of the sanding craft, a $2 per hour adder is paid out on top of the above hourly rates once the employee has been certified in the area.

Painter
Position: Painter (Finishing Department) Entry Level (P1) to Journey Level (P4)

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, motivated, and committed to producing top-quality finished products. Manufacturing with Tesla
Launch With Tesla through the MDP:
Complete a Semester of College at Ohlone College, Fremont, Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill, or Laney College, Oakland.
Earn a Certificate of Achievement in Manufacturing Technology
Learn about electronics, robotics, programming, mechanical systems, and technical drawings. The cost of the course is covered.
Full pay and benefits from day one, even while attending school.
After completion of the MDP certification:Transition into a full-time Production Associate role in the Tesla Factory, Fremont, CA, or the Megapack Factory, Lathrop, CA.
Work with the same equipment, techniques, and systems you learned about in the classroom.
Gain a helpful understanding and knowledge of the manufacturing process.
Learn the skills that will make you successful at Tesla or where you may find yourself.Eligibility Requirements:Demonstrated ability to learn new skills & adapt to new work environments.
Comfortable learning new technology.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred prior to start of program.
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
